Mahaprajapati Gautami Subharti School of Buddhist Studies (MGSSBS) established on 26th January, 2022 by Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University, Dehradun(Uttarakhand) INDIA as its constituent college by the initiation of Dr.Atul Krishna, Founder of Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University. We run under the core value of buddhism that is, “ Sila, Samadhi &Pañña that runs parallel in the Theravada , Mahayana and vajrayana branches . This department runs under the registered society of MTV Trust, i.e, Mahayana Theravada Vajrayana Buddhist Religious & Charitable Trust .We also staunchly believe in Pariyatti (Study) , Patipatti (Practice) & the “Socially Engaged” aspects of the Budhha’s teachings. This we do through our learning centre for Pariyatti by running various academic courses, Manuscript studies in Pali, sanskrit and Tibetan languages, workshops, Field Visits, Community Engaged Dharma Endeavours. Patipatti, through our Meditation Practices for academic and non – academic groups appended by a ‘Research wing’ to support all the above. To inspire young minds locally and globally, to think & act responsibly, scientifically yet rooted in the Buddha’s core teachings & other renowned Buddhist Masters .
