Mahaprajapati Gautami Subharti School of Buddhist Studies (MGSSBS) was established on 26th January 2022 as a constituent college of Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University, Dehradun (Uttarakhand), India, under the visionary leadership of Dr. Atul Krishna, Founder of Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University. MGSSBS upholds the core values of Buddhism—Sīla (Morality), Samādhi (Concentration), and Paññā (Wisdom)—which guide the teachings of Theravāda, Mahāyāna, and Vajrayāna traditions.
Functioning under the Mahayana Theravada Vajrayana (MTV) Buddhist Religious & Charitable Trust, MGSSBS is committed to the threefold Buddhist path: Pariyatti (Study), Patipatti (Practice), and Socially Engaged Buddhism.
Our mission is to inspire young minds, locally and globally, to think and act responsibly, scientifically, and ethically, while remaining deeply rooted in the Buddha’s teachings and the wisdom of renowned Buddhist masters.
