World is suffering from war and terrorism and no one feels safe and peaceful. Thus, ultimately we have to find soution with the Buddhist ideology.

The main purpose of this department  is to offer candidates a unique opportunity of experiencing  dhamma knowledge and in-depth study of Buddhism from a non-sectarian point of view, while promoting knowledge and understanding of the dis-similar schools and traditions within Buddhism. Candidates will often engage in coursework that inaugurate them to the literature, languages, religion, art, culture and history of South and East Asia as it relates to Buddhism.

MGSSBS aims to give students the multidisciplinary academic foundation, to offer students wide knowledge in the humanities and Social Sciences, to sharpen the students’ ‘social and religious analytical skills’ ,to enable them to participate in liberating people and communities from all forms of bondage.

Opening a department of this kind is a visionary project born out of the compassionate heart of Dr. Atul Krishna  to spread true words of Buddha & Dhamma for the well- being of all.
