Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University was established under the Uttarakhand Adhiniyam, 2016 (UK Act No. 35 of 2016), enacted by the Uttarakhand Legislature and assented to by the Honorable Governor in December 2016. The University operates under the aegis of the Mahayana-Theravada-Vajrayana Buddhist Religious and Charitable Trust, Meerut (formerly known as Dr. Jagat Narain Subharti Charitable Trust, Dehradun), established in 2011. The Trust has a distinguished track record in education, healthcare, social welfare, and philanthropic services.
The University’s main campus, known as Subhartipuram, is located at Kotda Santaur, Aamwala Road, Nanda Ki Chowki, Premnagar—just one kilometer from National Highway-72 (Chakrata Road), Dehradun. Nestled at the foothills of the Himalayas, the eco-friendly 20-acre campus offers a serene and inspiring environment, enhanced by modern infrastructure and comprehensive facilities.
