The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences along with other department of Science and Commerce. With an intent to sharpen the creative talents of the students and to help them evolve as better leaders and decision-makers, the institute allocated the contribution of UG course credit to HSS courses.
The Department has six faculties who teach a range of course in English, Sociology, History, Political Science, Economics, Hindi, E.V.S. Many faculty member of HSS actively participate in the interdisciplinary postgraduate programme and co- supervise students of other departments as well. The Department also offers short-term courses to students and faculty of other educational institution through workshops and seminar, educational tour and survey in close areas.
