It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences. Our Faculty is committed to creating an academic environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, creativity, and a deeper understanding of society, culture, and human values. The disciplines of the Humanities and Social Sciences play a vital role in helping us understand the world around us and our place within it. Through our programmes in History, Political Science, Sociology, Economics, Hindi, English, Psychology, and Sanskrit, we seek to provide students with a broad-based education that combines knowledge with critical inquiry, ethical values, and social responsibility.

As a Faculty, we believe that education extends beyond the classroom. We encourage our students to ask questions, express their ideas, engage in meaningful discussions, and develop the confidence to approach new challenges. Our faculty members are committed to guiding and supporting students throughout their academic journey and creating an environment in which every student feels heard, respected, and encouraged to grow.

Alongside teaching, we place strong emphasis on research and academic engagement. Our faculty members contribute to diverse areas of scholarship, connecting classroom learning with contemporary social, cultural, political, and economic issues. We aim to cultivate a culture of inquiry in which students and teachers learn from one another and contribute to the creation and dissemination of knowledge.
