The department aspires to provide outstanding up-to-date LIS education to the students through effective teaching and practical training.
Objectives

• To educate the students in the philosophy of librarianship, basic principles, fundamental laws and professional ethics.                                                       
• To enable LIS professionals to serve as intermediaries between information and seekers with sophisticated technological tool.                         
• To train the students for research and service-oriented skills to handle emerging technological development in the fields per requirement.
